AI Assistant
A chat assistant inside Routel that performs real actions, in Arabic or English, with a human confirmation before anything is saved.
The assistant lives inside Routel as a chat panel. You describe what you want in Arabic or English, and it does the work through the same actions the interface uses: creating a job, drafting an invoice, recording an expense, running a report or fetching a document.
Two rules make it safe to use on real data:
- It has your permissions, not its own. The assistant acts as the signed-in user and is subject to the same role-based access as every screen.
- It never saves without you. Any action that writes data is shown as a proposal. You review it and confirm, edit or cancel. Reads (reports, searches, downloads) run immediately.

The confirmation flow
You ask
In Arabic, English or a mix. The assistant asks for anything it is missing rather than guessing.
It proposes
A card shows exactly what will be created or changed: every field, every line, every amount.
You decide
Confirm saves it and records your name in the audit log. Edit lets you adjust before saving. Cancel discards it. Nothing happens until one of these is pressed.
No silent execution
There is no setting that lets the assistant skip confirmation. This is deliberate. A freight job, an invoice or a ledger entry should never be created because a sentence was misread.
Reading vendor invoices
Upload a vendor's PDF invoice in the chat and ask the assistant to propose the vendor cost for a job. It reads the document, extracts the line items, currency and totals, and shows them as a proposed vendor cost against the job. Check the lines against the paper, confirm, and the cost posts with the job's exchange rate.
Languages
The assistant understands and replies in Arabic and English. You can switch mid-conversation or mix both in one sentence. Proposals and generated documents remain in the language of your Routel data; the conversation is in yours.

What it does not do
- It does not act on its own schedule. It only does something when someone asks.
- It does not send email or messages to customers or vendors.
- It does not change users, roles or settings.
- It does not remember conversations across users; each person's chat is their own.
Audit
Actions confirmed through the assistant are logged against the person who confirmed them, with the same detail as a manual change. See the audit log on the job or record.
